The bod is changing shape

Conversation with sister Dana today:
Dana: You know, your face looks totally normal. I'd never know you were pregnant.

Me: You think so? I thought I was getting puffy.

Dana: Nah, you can't tell at all. But then you look at what used to be this tiny little wasp waist, and it's all gone, just goes straight down (mimicking the silhouette of a tree trunk)

Let's take a moment to mourn the loss of my waist.
(Ben isn't really into taking tummy pics, so thank goodness for my computer camera- I can take pictures for ya'll to my hearts delight!)

One more thing I wasn't expecing- this whole sleeping on your side and not your back? My favorite sleeping/resting positions were tummy and back. Now, I'm paranoid I'll suffocate poor baby in my sleep! How did you mommies deal with this? I miss my back-sleeping, and it's only been a week!

  1. It's time for a body pillow. Something that allows you to lay 3/4 of the way onto your belly but that props you up so that you aren't actually laying on your belly or squashing the baby. Really comfy. I still sleep with an extra pillow from time to time. Ask one of your mommy friends to show you what I'm talking about.

  2. nice shirt...i like how the horizontal lines accentuate your new curves.

yeah and sleeping just gets more uncomfortable. at one point you may experience really painful cramping in the shins and calves. not fun.
